However, it is the choices we make with our clothing that are paramount to the impact it creates on the future of the environment. Under the Repair and Reuse section of my project I have provided simple steps to create a reusable bag. Here I have created one using leftover lemon, onion and orange bags that were in the kitchen. This allowed me to have a better perception of what’s happening in Italy regarding the sustainable practices of textiles. Starting with the tour of the Museum of Textiles in Prato we were there was a lot of information regarding the circular process and how clothing is naturally dyed. Comistra is a wool recycling company that takes pre-loved woollen garments through a circular process to create new fabric. Walking through the factory was a great experience to see this process firsthand. Lotto Zero is a textile laboratory in Prato.
